5 Days Hunza Valley Tour from Islamabad
Two full days in the valley, with Attabad, Passu and the Karimabad forts.

The same Skardu route in your own vehicle, paced for children and elders.
The same Skardu itinerary in your own Grand Cabin or Prado, on your own dates, with the days rearranged around your family rather than a fixed schedule. Later starts, more stops, and family rooms booked in advance.
The price shown is for a family of four in one vehicle with family rooms. Larger groups and different vehicle classes are quoted individually — send us your numbers and dates and you will have a written itinerary and price the same day.
One honest note about Deosai with children and elders: it is eight hours in a jeep above 4,000 m. We will tell you if we think your group should skip it and spend the day in Shigar instead.
Every day states its route, its driving hours and its altitude, so nothing about this trip is a surprise on the road.
Islamabad → Besham → Chilas
A 7:00 AM start with proper stops. We break this leg differently for families than for group tours.
Chilas → Jaglot → Skardu
The Skardu road along the Indus, with a long lunch stop rather than a rushed one.
Skardu → Shangrila → Upper Kachura → Katpana
A deliberately light day. Boating at Shangrila if the children want it, the dunes at Katpana in the late afternoon.
Skardu → Shigar → Khaplu → Skardu
Shigar Fort and Khaplu Palace. Both have shaded courtyards and are among the easier sightseeing days for elders.
Skardu → Deosai → Sheosar Lake → Skardu
The Deosai crossing by jeep. If anyone in the family is struggling with the altitude, this is the day we swap for the Basho valley or a rest day in Skardu — decided on the morning, not months in advance.
Note We carry oxygen. Children under six and anyone with a heart condition should not do the Deosai day.
Skardu → Kharmang → Chilas
Down the Skardu road with a stop at Manthokha Waterfall.
Chilas → Besham → Islamabad
Home, with lunch where you choose.
| Nights | Hotel | Place | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nights 1 & 6 | Best available family rooms | Chilas | 3-star |
| Nights 2–5 | Hotel Sehrish or Summit Skardu | Skardu | 3-star, family rooms |
If a named hotel is genuinely unavailable we tell you before departure and move you to a property of the same or better category. We never change it silently.
A family of four in one private vehicle: seven days of transport with a driver, six nights in family rooms, all breakfasts and dinners, the Deosai jeep, all entry tickets and a guide in Skardu. Lunches and personal spending are excluded.
It is eight hours in a jeep above 4,000 m. Most people in reasonable health are fine, but anyone with a heart or breathing condition should not do it. Because this is a private trip we can decide on the morning and substitute a rest day.
Yes, and for families it is often worth it — fly Islamabad to Skardu and drive back, which removes one twelve-hour day. It is weather-dependent, so we build the road plan as the fallback.
The family price covers two adults and two children. Additional children are quoted individually; under-3s travel free. Tell us the ages at enquiry.
Send dates and group size and you will have a written itinerary with a price the same day, usually within a few hours.
Questions about dates, fitness, children or hotels — we answer them properly.

Two full days in the valley, with Attabad, Passu and the Karimabad forts.

The complete Hunza trip — the valley, the border pass and Naltar's coloured lakes.

Private vehicle, valley-view rooms and nobody else on the itinerary.
Every review here is from someone who gave us their name and number, and every one is read before it goes up.
We only show reviews for the exact trip they were written about, so this space stays empty until someone reviews this one. Reviews of our other trips are on the reviews page.
