The fourth day is the one that changes a trip. In Naran it buys you Babusar Top at 4,173 m and Lulusar Lake. In Swat it buys Mahodand. In Kashmir it gets you past Sharda to Kel and up to Arang Kel. In Diamer it is the minimum for Fairy Meadows.
If you are choosing between three and four days on the same destination, take the four. The extra cost is small and the extra day is almost always the one people remember.
