5 Days Hunza Valley Tour from Islamabad
Two full days in the valley, with Attabad, Passu and the Karimabad forts.

Naran plus the day that makes the trip — Babusar Top and Lulusar Lake.
The fourth day is what separates this from the standard Naran trip, and it is the day people remember: up past Batakundi and Jalkhad to Lulusar Lake, then the climb to Babusar Top at 4,173 m with Nanga Parbat visible on a clear morning.
Everything from the three-day trip is still here — Saif-ul-Malook, Shogran, the Kunhar valley. You just get the top of the pass as well.
One seasonal warning worth reading. Babusar opens with the snowmelt, usually in late June, and closes again in September. The exact date is decided by the snow. We confirm the status before every departure and we will tell you honestly if your dates are marginal.
Every day states its route, its driving hours and its altitude, so nothing about this trip is a surprise on the road.
Islamabad → Balakot → Kaghan → Naran
Departure at 6:00 AM, up the Kaghan valley to Naran by mid-afternoon. Evening free.
Naran → Saif-ul-Malook → Naran
Jeeps up to the lake in the morning, with time to walk around it and have tea. The afternoon is free in Naran — the bazaar, the river, or nothing.
Naran → Batakundi → Jalkhad → Lulusar → Babusar Top → Naran → Shogran
An early start up the valley past Batakundi and Jalkhad to Lulusar Lake, then the climb to Babusar Top. On a clear morning Nanga Parbat is visible from the pass. We come back down and continue to Shogran for the night.
Note Babusar Top is usually open late June to September only. If the pass is closed on your date we substitute Lulusar and a longer Siri Paye evening, and we tell you before departure.
Shogran → Siri Paye → Balakot → Islamabad
Jeeps up to the Siri Paye meadows in the morning, then the drive back to Islamabad, arriving early evening.

Usually late June, occasionally early July, and it closes with the first serious snow in September or October. The snow decides, not the calendar. We check the status before every departure.
We run the day to Lulusar Lake instead and add a longer evening at Siri Paye, and we tell you before you travel rather than on the morning.
Most people notice the thin air and nothing more, because you are only at the top for an hour. We carry oxygen. It is cold and windy up there at any time of year.
Yes, and in season it is the nicer route. Ask us about the Naran–Babusar–Hunza combination; it saves hours over the Chilas road.
For the same destination, almost always. The extra cost is small and Babusar is the day people talk about afterwards.
Questions about dates, fitness, children or hotels — we answer them properly.

Two full days in the valley, with Attabad, Passu and the Karimabad forts.

The complete Hunza trip — the valley, the border pass and Naltar's coloured lakes.

Private vehicle, valley-view rooms and nobody else on the itinerary.
Every review here is from someone who gave us their name and number, and every one is read before it goes up.
We only show reviews for the exact trip they were written about, so this space stays empty until someone reviews this one. Reviews of our other trips are on the reviews page.
