Frequently asked questions

Booking, travel, safety and cancellation. If your question is not here, message us — we will add it.

Booking & payment

How do I book a tour?

Message us on WhatsApp at 0311 5811983 or send the enquiry form on any package page. We confirm availability, send you a written itinerary with the hotels named, and take an advance per person to hold your seats. The balance is due three days before departure.

How much is the advance?

It is stated on every package page and ranges from PKR 4,000 on a weekend trip to PKR 40,000 on a honeymoon package. It is deducted from the total, not added to it.

How do I pay?

Bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa. The account title matches our registered business name — if an account title ever does not match the company you are booking with, stop and call us.

Can I book for someone else?

Yes. We will need the traveller's name, CNIC number and a contact number for the checkposts, and we will send the itinerary to both of you.

How far in advance should I book?

Two to four weeks for most trips. Longer for Deosai departures, Fairy Meadows in peak season and the ten-day circuit, which has only three departures a year.

Do you do private and custom tours?

Yes. Tell us your dates, group size and budget and we will send a written itinerary with a price, usually the same day. For four or more people a private tour is often close to the group price.

Travel & trips

What is the best time to visit northern Pakistan?

May to September for the high valleys and passes. Early April for Hunza blossom, late October for autumn colour, December to February for snow in Swat, Murree and lower Hunza.

How much does a northern tour cost?

Our trips run from PKR 14,500 per person for a two-day Galiyat weekend to just under a lakh for the ten-day Gilgit-Baltistan circuit. Every package page shows a real price with exactly what it includes.

How many days do I need for Hunza?

Five days from Islamabad is the realistic minimum. Six adds Khunjerab Pass comfortably. Seven adds Naltar Valley. We do not sell three-day Hunza trips.

Can I join a group as a solo traveller?

Yes, and a lot of our travellers do. Solo travellers are matched with same-gender room-mates on quad and triple sharing at no extra charge.

What vehicle will we travel in?

An air-conditioned Toyota Coaster with a maximum of 20 passengers on most group trips, a Hiace Grand Cabin or Prado on private tours, and local 4x4 jeeps on every track section.

Are meals included?

Breakfast and dinner on every night of every group package. Lunches are excluded, because groups stop where they want to and a fixed lunch adds cost for people who would rather buy their own.

Do you arrange flights?

We can book Islamabad–Skardu and Islamabad–Gilgit as an add-on. Both are weather-dependent and cancelled often, so we always keep the road itinerary as the fallback and never build a trip around a flight.

Safety

Is it safe to travel to northern Pakistan?

Yes. Gilgit-Baltistan, upper KP and Azad Kashmir are among the safest and most visited domestic destinations in the country. The practical risks are road and altitude, and our safety page explains exactly how we manage both.

Is it safe for women and families?

Yes. We have a dedicated page on this covering seating, rooming, female coordinators and hotel selection, and a number you can call before booking rather than after.

What about altitude sickness?

Most itineraries stay below 3,000 m for sleeping. Khunjerab, Babusar and Deosai take you above 4,000 m for a few hours. We carry oxygen on every trip above 3,500 m and our leaders are first-aid trained.

Do you carry insurance?

The company is insured; your personal travel insurance is not included in any package and we recommend it for every trip, especially trekking.

What happens if a road closes?

We reroute or wait. We do not attempt blocked sections and we do not drive through a police closure. If a trip cannot run at all, our cancellation policy sets out the refund.

Changes & cancellation

Can I cancel and get a refund?

Yes, on the scale set out in our cancellation policy — 100% up to 15 days before departure, then a reducing scale. It is published in full and we honour it.

Can I change my departure date?

Once, free of charge, up to 7 days before departure, subject to availability on the new date.

What if you cancel the trip?

A full refund, or a transfer to another departure with any difference refunded. We cancel very rarely and it is almost always a road closure or a pass that has not opened.

What if I have to leave the trip early?

We will help you get to the nearest airport or bus terminal and tell your family. Unused nights and services are not refundable once the trip has departed.
