8 days, 7 nights in northern Pakistan
Eight days is the first length where you can put two regions in one trip and still enjoy both. Hunza and Skardu linked via Gilgit is the classic. Hunza with Fairy Meadows on the way back is the other.
It is also the right length for Chitral with the Kalash valleys and a Shandur crossing in July or August, which is one of the great road journeys in Pakistan and not something to attempt in a hurry.
