6 days, 5 nights in northern Pakistan
Six days is where a Hunza trip stops being tight. You reach Karimabad on day two, have a full day in Upper Hunza, a full day up to Khunjerab Pass at 4,693 m, a morning for the forts, and a sensible drive home.
It is our most-booked length and the one we recommend when someone asks what to do with a week of annual leave. Six days also covers the Skardu core — Shangrila, Shigar and Khaplu — if you are willing to skip Deosai.
