5 Days Hunza Valley Tour from Islamabad
Two full days in the valley, with Attabad, Passu and the Karimabad forts.

The jeep track, the walk up, and a full day facing the ninth-highest mountain on earth.
Four days to stand at the foot of the ninth-highest mountain on earth. This trip includes the jeep track from Raikot Bridge to Tato — one of the more dramatic mountain roads in Pakistan — and a three to four kilometre uphill walk to Fairy Meadows, followed by a full-day hike to Beyal Camp and the Nanga Parbat viewpoint.
Read the notes on this page properly before you book. The jeep track is narrow and exposed. The walk cannot be skipped. Accommodation is wooden huts with shared bathrooms. There is no mobile signal. Nights are cold even in July.
If all of that is fine with you, this is the best four days we sell. Groups are capped at twelve.
Every day states its route, its driving hours and its altitude, so nothing about this trip is a surprise on the road.
Islamabad → Besham → Dasu → Chilas
A 6:00 AM departure north on the Karakoram Highway. We reach Chilas in the evening and sleep low before going up.
Chilas → Raikot Bridge → Tato → Fairy Meadows
A short drive to Raikot Bridge, then local jeeps up the track to Tato. From there we walk. It is three to four kilometres, uphill, about two hours at an easy pace, and the mountain appears about halfway.
Note Porters and horses are available at Tato at around PKR 2,500–4,000. Not included, and the rate is published here rather than sprung on you at the trailhead.
Fairy Meadows → Beyal Camp → viewpoint → Fairy Meadows
The day you came for. We walk through the meadows and forest to Beyal Camp, then on to the viewpoint above the Rakhiot glacier with the full Rakhiot face of Nanga Parbat in front of us. Back to the huts by late afternoon.
Note Strong walkers can continue toward base camp with the guide. Decided on the day, based on the group.
Fairy Meadows → Tato → Raikot Bridge → Islamabad
An early walk down, jeeps to Raikot Bridge, and the long drive back to Islamabad. It is a long day — expect to arrive late.

Three to four kilometres, uphill, about two hours at an easy pace with a daypack. It is a walk, not a climb, but there is no vehicle access and it cannot be skipped.
Yes, at Tato. The going rate is roughly PKR 2,500–4,000 depending on load and season. It is not included in the package and we publish the rate here rather than surprising you at the trailhead.
It is narrow, unpaved and exposed, and it is the part people remember. The drivers are local specialists who run it daily. Anyone with a serious fear of heights should think carefully.
Wooden huts and permanent tents with shared bathrooms, limited hot water and electricity for a few hours in the evening. Basic and clean. It is not a hotel.
None at Fairy Meadows. Tell your family before you go.
Children under 8, anyone with knee or heart conditions, and anyone who cannot walk uphill for two hours. We would rather say so now than at Tato.
Near freezing at night even in July, at 3,300 m. Bring a proper jacket, warm layers and a hat. Sleeping bags are available to hire if you do not have one.
Questions about dates, fitness, children or hotels — we answer them properly.

Every review here is from someone who gave us their name and number, and every one is read before it goes up.
We only show reviews for the exact trip they were written about, so this space stays empty until someone reviews this one. Reviews of our other trips are on the reviews page.
